More on Where Corn Goes.

Other than corn derivatives used in other products, corn is also used as one of the main ingredients in feeds for livestock. Cows, pigs and chicken are all fed corn. It helps them grow faster, and fatter. The problem is that these animals are supposed to have a wider variety of food, naturally. Cows are predominantly a grass feeding animal, and so are pigs. They are supposed to forage for food eating a variety of vegetation. The same can be said for chicken.

Also, because of the overproduction of corn, they are also using it as feeds for fish farms. As we all know, corn is a land based plant and is no where to be seen growing in oceans. So what happens to the fish who are now eating corn? Their bodies and metabolism may not be adapted to this form of diet.

Only 1/40th of the corn grown in North America is actually for human consumption. The remainder is primarily for livestock feed.
